ROCKWALL, TX (Dec. 21, 2021) – On Tuesday, December 21st, 2021, at 12:53 p.m., the Rockwall Police Department responded to the North Service Road of IH 30 just West of FM 549 in reference to an injury accident. The preliminary investigation revealed that a Dallas Police Department motorcycle unit was involved in a single vehicle accident. The officer had previously been assisting with a funeral escort that occurred in Rockwall. Rockwall EMS responded to the scene and transported the officer to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate and document the crash scene.
