Rowlett Arts & Humanities announces theme for 2022 Writing Contest

ROWLETT, TX (Jan. 11, 2022) Do you enjoy writing?

Does your writing style include any of the following:  poetry, short stories and/or short works (plays or essays)?

Then grab your pen, paper, or keyboard and begin brainstorming on this year’s Writing Contest theme — “Family is …”

This annual writing contest by Rowlett Arts & Humanities is open to interested writers living in Rowlett (either Dallas and Rockwall County).  Entries are judged on originality, content, creativity, relevancy, structure, as well as consideration for “how the work touches the reader”.

There are two categories:  Ages 10 to 17 (New category!) and Adults 18 and over.

Prizes will be awarded in each category.

Entries must be received by Monday, February 28 by email, mail or in-person.
