Heath resident, Stan Britton, files for RISD Board of Trustees, Place 4

ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX (Feb. 28, 2022) Stan Britton has filed to fill the seat vacated by Jon Bailey, longtime member of the RISD Board of Trustees. Britton has been actively involved with RISD since moving to Rockwall in 2014. He was a member of the 2018 Strategic Design Team that assisted with giving direction to the district alongside superintendent, Dr. JJ Villarreal. The Design Team helped to develop our Core Beliefs and Learner Outcomes. Additionally, the Team crafted 10 Goals and Specific Results that guide our RISD leadership and staff. Stan is also privileged to be the “voice of the Heath Hawks” on RISD athletic broadcasts and school events.

Stan is the father to 5 children in the district. His wife serves as the nurse at an RISD elementary school. When asked about running for the Board of Trustees, he said, “The success of our district is vitally important to our family. I hope to be a representative of our community on the board so that RISD will continue to be a strong district well into the future.”

Britton is a commercial agent with M&D Real Estate in Rockwall. Since 2000, Stan served 6 churches in the DFW area as a student and college minister, small groups pastor and Lead Pastor. He has been very active in international missions, leading over 30 groups to 14 countries and several US states since 2001. Stan and his family are also passionate foster care and adoption advocates having adopted both domestically and internationally as well as serving as foster parents.
