ROCKWALL, TX (Feb. 2, 2022) The Rockwall Art League is excited to spotlight award-winning, Dallas based portraitist Amy Werntz as their Demo Artist of the Month. Join RAL for an evening of inspiration on February 23rd from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. The meeting will be held at Harry Myers Community Center, 815 E. Washington St., Rockwall, TX 75087 and is open to all.
Werntz began her professional career in 2010 painting family members and from candid reference photographs. Since then, her work has evolved through her inspiration in capturing the elderly in everyday moments. “Through their postures, expressions and the uniqueness of every line, I strive to show the importance and value of this generation so often overlooked in our society by the lure of youth.” The artist wants the viewer to walk away feeling that they have interacted with the person in the painting and bring their own experiences into that interaction.
