Rowlett Arts & Humanities announce 2022 cultural art grant recipients

ROWLETT, TX (Feb. 3, 2022) Annually, the Rowlett Arts & Humanities Commission awards financial grants to Rowlett arts groups who apply by clearly stating their need and how the funding would be used to further the arts here in Rowlett. The 2022 grant applications have been reviewed and the commission is pleased to announce two groups receiving financial support – Artists ‘Round Texas and Eagle Theatre Company.

Artists ‘Round Texas has a mission is to promote the diversity and appreciation of the visual arts in the community. This is done through programs for its members as well as the general public. In the past, these have included art demonstrations, public education forums, art shows, etc. They meet regularly at the Rowlett Community Center. Eagle Theatre Company is the Rowlett High School group supporting the creative growth of the next generation of artists, thinkers, and leaders in theatre and performance. This support is provided through course work as well as drama and musical theatre productions. Not only do the students develop their skills, but the local community gets the opportunity to enjoy their work. This group plans to use their grant to improve the theatre’s sound system.
