To Upgrade System in Select Neighborhoods
ROCKWALL, TX (March 31, 2022) – Oncor has informed the City of Rockwall that they have scheduled outages that will occur this Saturday (4/2) in the following locations near Downtown Rockwall. Residents of the affected homes have already been notified by Oncor representatives.
Oncor is upgrading the feeders from the Rockwall substation to allow them to carry more load, and to transfer load between feeders. Oncor is performing this conversion in phases. This is the third and final phase. To make the switch, power to some customers will be shut off from approximately 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Oncor representatives say they hope to have power restored in a shorter timeframe.
The following streets will be affected in this project:
- Kenway
- Shoretrail
- Village Green
- Lakeshore
- Lake Meadows Ct.
- Lake Meadows Cir.
- Rogers Way
- Whittle Way
- Ridgeview Dr.
- 100 block of Rusk
- 100-200 blocks of San Jacinto
- 100 block of Washington St.
- 100 block of Goliad
The following will be affected from 6 a.m.-12 noon
- Portion of the 300 block of S. Goliad
And from 6 a.m.-2 p.m., the following will be affected:
- Lake Meadows Dr.
- 300-400 blocks of S. Goliad
