ROCKWALL, TX (March 10, 2022) The Supervisor of the Year award is given to a Sergeant or civilian line-level manager who has achieved a high level of professional accomplishment and demonstrated effective leadership and management skills. This year, the Rockwall Police Department is proud to recognize the contributions of Sergeant Steven Brassil.
Sergeant Brassil came to the Rockwall Police Department in February of 2007 after serving honorably for almost 6 years at the New York Police Department. He promoted to the rank of Sergeant in November of 2012 and served as a supervisor in the Patrol Division and Deployment Division before being selected to become Sergeant over our Community Services Division.
Sergeant Brassil’s primary responsibility lies in community outreach programs and he also supervises the elementary school Sros for Rockwall ISD. His unit is responsible for developing and hosting dozens of community events each year which include Texas Night Out, the Rockwall Police Department Summer Camps, Coffee With a Cop Program, Citizen’s Police Academy, Rockwall Clergy and Police Partnership, Citizen’s on Patrol, Rockwall County Crimestoppers, Neighborhood Crime Watches, Rockwall Police Explorer’s Program, and many, many more. His team always delivers a quality, worthwhile product that helps us develop and maintain key community partnerships. He always represents this department in a positive light and we are honored to confer to Sergeant Steven Brassil the 2021 Supervisor of the Year Award.
