DALLAS, TX (March 3, 2022) The Big Texas Beer Fest returns to Dallas’ Fair Park Auto Building on March 26, 2022. The event was founded in 2012, and has raised almost $60,000 for the North Texas Food Bank since inception. Named as Dallas Observer’s best beer festival two years in a row, and Blitz Weekly’s best festival, this year’s event expects to draw 5,000+ attendees. The festival is one of the Southwest’s largest beer events, and will feature over 450 beers, ciders, seltzers, hard kombuchas and more from over 100 breweries.
One of the festival organizers, Chad Montgomery, added, “After our tenth year, Big Texas Beer Fest has become a tradition among friends and brewers alike. We love making our festival’s mantra of ‘Connecting people through beer’ a reality.” Chad’s wife and event co-founder Nellie added, “Keeping up with the breweries throughout the year comes naturally when you’re friends with them. We plan all year for this huge party where we can show the attendees what our friends have been working on day in and day out.” The couple hopes that the spirit of camaraderie and friendship carries through all the way down to the attendee experience at Big Texas Beer Fest.
In addition to award-winning beers from all over the world, the festival will also feature 10 local food trucks and vendors, local and regional bands, and attendees can also sample artisan food and non-alcoholic beverages from local vendors. Music and food trucks can be found in the outdoor food and music pavilion. Free Play Richardson (a vintage arcade) is scheduled to be there in full force creating a vintage ‘Arcade Alley’ in partnership with TUPPS Brewery where attendees can relive arcade favorites from their youth.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit local charity, the North Texas Food Bank.
Tickets for the festival are available at http://www.bigtexasbeerfest.com. Chad added, “to get the true kid-in-a-candy-store feel, we highly recommend attending our VIP session where less than 20% of all attendees are in the building for a full hour.” Tickets range from $42 to $75.
The festival’s hours are from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, with VIP entering the doors at 2:00pm. Parking will be available at Fair Park for $10, but the Montgomery’s recommend people use the DART rail, or catch a Lyft or Uber. The DART rail has a stop on the Green Line at Fair Park, dropping attendees just steps away from the venue. Big Texas Beer Fest has sold out every time since year 2, so organizers recommend purchasing in advance.
