Art in Public Places: Butterfly Reveal May 21 in Rockwall’s San Jacinto Plaza

ROCKWALL, TX (April 27, 2022) Visit San Jacinto Plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21 to view ten beautifully painted metal butterfly sculptures on display in one location. The butterflies were all painted by local artists and will be placed throughout the city’s butterfly gardens this summer. You will be amazed by the talent of our local artists – most of whom are high school art students at Rockwall and Rockwall-Heath high schools. This project was funded through the City’s Art in Public Places program.

Also on tap for the day, Discovery Living Statue Performance, Walk the Line and STING perform in the Plaza as well as the Texas Saxophone Quartet. The Downtown Rockwall Association will host a wine stroll for your enjoyment as well.
Bonus! You can hop on the trolley between Downtown Rockwall and Harry Myers Park anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to enjoy festivities at each location.
