Rockwall High School Stingerettes Senior Showcase: Ryn Andersen

ROCKWALL, TX (April 29, 2022) Meet Ryn Andersen! Ryn is the daughter of Arnie and Jamie Andersen, She has been a Rockwall Dance Instructor (RDI) for two years where she assisted with the Utley Middle School Drill Team her Senior year and the Williams Middle School Drill Team her Junior year.

She has been a three-year Stingerette where she was awarded “Stingerette of the Week” in 2019, “Miss Yes Ma’am” in 2020, “Greatest Work Ethic” and “Most Dedicated” in 2020 and 2021. In addition, she danced with the  JV Jacket Babes her Freshman year and was awarded “Most Dedicated” in 2019.

Ryn was a member of the Showstoppers Elite Team her senior year and was a member of the Hip Hop team for two years.

At the American Dance/Drill Team in 2019, she was awarded “National Champion Varsity Duet”. In 2020 she won KAR “Top First Place” & “Overall Solo Finalist”. In 2022, Ryn was on the JVI/RDI Team that was awarded American Dance/Drill Team “National Champions”. In addition, she was a member of the teams that won American Dance/Drill Team “Team Lyrical Champions”, “Elite Novelty Champions” and “Team Open Champions”.

In addition to dancing with the Stingerettes, Ryn has competed  with The Dance FX studio in Garland her Junior and Senior year that was recently awarded 2022 American Dance/Drill Team “Studio National Champions”.

Ryn had the honor of performing with the Stingerettes in the 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as part of the Spirit of America dance team as well as performing at Walt Disney World in January, 2022. She also performed with the Elite Team in Galveston in March this year.

Academic achievements for Ryn include “Rockwall ISD Trustee Award of Excellence” in 2019. She is a member of National Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society- Collin College Chapter and Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society.

Ryn served as a Texas Girls State Representative- 2020-2021, selected by the Terry Fisher Chapter of American Legion in Rockwall.

Ryn will be attending Texas Christian University this Fall as a Nursing Major with plans to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
