Rockwall Rotary honors officers, firefighters of the year at Public Safety Awards Luncheon

ROCKWALL, TX (April 29, 2022) The Rockwall Rotary Club hosted its Annual Public Safety Awards Luncheon yesterday, honoring  our police, fire, paramedics and other first responders for their courage, sacrifice, contributions and service to our community.

Rotary President Kevin Pate and Rotary Vocational Services Director Shane Hollas presented the awards along with various department representatives.

Chief Lyle Lombard of Fate Department of Public Safety presented the Firefighter of the Year Award to Daniel Guerrica, and the Officer of the Year Award to Jay Shallow (not pictured).

Heath Department of Public Safety Chief Brandon Seery presented the Officer of the Year Award to Officer Kenny Griffith.

McLendon-Chisholm Fire Department Chief Jim Simmons presented the Firefighter of the Year Award to Captain Casey Yarbrough.

Royse City Fire Department Chief Tanner Dietz presented the Firefighter of the Year Award to Ben Dial.

Royse City Police Department Chief Kirk Aldridge presented the Employee of the Year Award to Fleet Manager John Dunlap.

Rockwall County EMS Paramedic Supervisor Ross Warren presented the Paramedic of the Year Award to Seth Sossner.

Rockwall Fire Department Chief Kenneth Cullins presented the Firefighter of the Year Award to Josh Turner (not present for the photo).

Rockwall Police Chief Max Geron presented the Officer of the Year Award to Andrew Poindexter and the Civilian Professional of the Year to  Telecommunicator Michelle May.

Rockwall County Sheriff Terry Garrett presented the Deputy of the Year Award to Justin Murphy.
