ROCKWALL, TX (May 13, 2022) Thanks to our community, Rockwall ISD will soon construct two 9th Grade Centers – one for Rockwall High School and one for Rockwall-Heath High School – to help with the overcrowding in schools while preparing us for future growth.
Both 9th Grade Centers will be built with the intent that one day, with facility expansion, they will convert to the third and fourth high schools Rockwall ISD will need in the future.
Since the bond’s passage, Rockwall ISD has engaged stakeholders – over a series of approximately 40 focus groups, including students, parents, community members, campus and District administrators – and asked what they need and want in the 9th Grade Center facilities.
As a result, schematic designs for both facilities were recently presented to the Board of Trustees.
