ROCKWALL, TX (May 12, 2022) HOSA (Future Health Professionals, formerly known as Health Occupations Students of America) students from the Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy recently competed at the Texas State HOSA Competition where they brought home several awards.
In the Prepared Speaking competition both Gabby Dong and Bella Dominguez competed where Gabby placed 4th.
In the Emergency Medical Technician competition Rockwall ISD earned the highest award this year. Competitors Emma Sloan-Garza & Andrew Nash placed 1st in state, above 20 other teams.
They will represent Rockwall ISD at the HOSA International Leadership Competition in June.
