Ready, set, mark your calendar for Race to Empower, June 25

ROCKWALL, TX (May 25, 2022) Empower7, a local nonprofit helping vulnerable youth transform themselves into purposeful adults, is preparing for its 2nd Annual 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run which will be held Saturday, June 25 at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium.

Proceeds from the run will benefit the Empower7 Ranch building campaign and programs for at-risk teens in North Texas.

The 1 Mile Fun Run will start at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 5K start at 8. Awards will be presented at 8:45 a.m.

Sign up now (prices will increase after May 31) at empower7.org/5krun or email Vida Valk, Event Chair, at fundraising@empower7.org. You may choose a virtual race option as well. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

New Volunteer Platform

Empower7 recently introduced a new volunteer management platform. This online tool will help them better communicate their volunteer needs and grow. There are several ways to get involved:

Teen Advisory Council

Empower7 is also accepting applications for its 2022-2023 Teen Advisory Council. Empower7’s TAC is a group of high school students, grades 9-12, from the greater Rockwall area. TAC members serve as leaders for the organization, actively participate in their events, and volunteer their time to support their program and fundraising needs. Save the Date

Save the date for Empower7’s 2^nd Annual Deep in the Heart fundraiser and auction, to be held Saturday, Oct. 8 at The Venue at Boyd Farm. Guests will enjoy dinner, live music, and live auction.
