ROCKWALL, TX (May 19, 2022) Our Stingerette Showcase this week is Miss Meleah Davis. Meleah is the daughter of Scot and Leigh Ann Davis.
Meleah is a three-year member of Stingerettes where she currently serves as First Lieutenant. Meleah is also a three-year member of the Elite team, Showstoppers, as well as Kick Company and Hip Hop Company. She was selected as Top 5 at Stingerette line tryouts in 2019. Meleah was a Junior Lieutenant her Junior year and also a Lieutenant for the Jacket Babes JV team her Freshman year.
This year, Meleah was honored to be selected as Miss Jump Splits 2022. During her time on Stingerettes, Meleah’s teammates have voted her Most Outstanding Performer, Best Projection, and Most Entertaining to Watch. She was also chosen to receive the Officer Award for Outstanding Teacher.
Along with her team, Meleah performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2019 and at Disney World in 2022. This year, the Stingerette Officers were named American Dance/Drill Team (ADTS) Best of the Best Officers. In 2021, Meleah and the Stingerettes were named Showtime International Best of the Best Team, Elite Team and Officers.
As a soloist, Meleah was named Showtime International Champion in 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 and Showtime solo 1st runner up in 2022. She was also a Showtime solo finalist every year from 2016 to 2022. Meleah was National Solo 2nd runner up as well as two-time Regional 1st runner up at ADTS in 2019. She was named a solo finalist at ADTS Regionals seven times from 2017 to 2021. Meleah was also 1st runner up at Crowd Pleasers Showcase in 2020 and 2nd runner-up in 2019.
In addition to Stingerettes, Meleah has danced the past five years with The Dance FX Studio in Garland both on the Junior and Senior teams. For the 2022 season, the FX Senior Company won Best of the Best at every Regional competition they attended and Best of the Best at Nationals as well.
Outside of dance, Meleah is a member of Peer Assisted Leadership (PALS) and National Honor Society (NHS). Meleah serves her community through the National Charity League, Lone Star Chapter, where she has been a member since 2016.
In the Fall, Meleah will be attending Oklahoma State University to pursue a degree in Interior Design. Go Pokes!
