Rockwall High School Stingerettes Senior Showcase 2022: Jayme Smith

ROCKWALL, TX (May 20, 2022) Our final Stingerette Senior Showcase for the 2021-2022 year is our Captain, Miss Jayme Smith. Jayme is the daughter of Bryan and Jennifer Smith. She is a three-year member of Stingerettes serving as a Lieutenant her Junior year. In addition, she served as Captain of the JV Jacket Babes her Freshman year.

When auditioning for Stingerettes her Sophomore year, she won “Audition Top Score”. All three years she has been a member of the Showstoppers Elite Team, Kick Company, Hip Hop Company and Tap Company.

Jayme won numerous titles and awards in the organization including, “Miss High Kick 2021-2022”, “Miss Jump Splits Top-3 2021-2022”, “ Best Technique 2019-2021”, “Best Contemporary 2019-2021”, “Best Leaps 2020-2021” and “Spirit Girl 2019-2020”.

Jayme had the honor of performing with the Stingerettes in the 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as part of the Spirit of America dance team as well as performing at Walt Disney World in January, 2022. She also performed with the Elite Team in Galveston in March this year.

Jayme shares with her fellow officers the titles, ADTS “National Champion Officers 2022” in Novelty, Lyrical, and Contemporary. She shares with the team ADTS “2022 National Champions” in Elite Jazz, Elite Novelty, Team Lyrical and Team Open.

As a Stingerette soloist, Jayme’s accomplishments are numerous. In 2019-2020, she was ADTS Regional “Solo Finalist”. In 2020-2021, she won “Solo Finalist” for both MA Dance Regional and ADTS Regional and she was “Solo Champion” at Showtime International. In her final competition season, Jayme won “Solo Finalist” at MA Dance Regional, Showtime International Regional and she was named “Solo Champion” at ADTS Regional.

In addition to Stingerettes, Jayme has danced the past three years with The Dance FX Studio in Garland. For the 2022 season, the Dance FX Senior Company won “Best of the Best” at every regional competition they attended and” Best of the Best” at Nationals as well. In her early dance years, Jayme trained formally for 4 years at Royalty Dance Academy in Rockwall as well as 3 years at The Dallas Conservatory.

In the Fall, Jayme will be attending the University of Arizona, majoring in Nutritional Science.
