Fate resident honored for heroism after pulling children from burning car

FATE, TX (July 6, 2022) Last night, the Fate City Council proclaimed July 6, 2022, as “Sean James Day” in the City of Fate in recognition of his heroic lifesaving act of extracting three children passengers from a burning car along the Kansas Turnpike. We are grateful for Mr. Sean James for having made this heroic effort and are lucky to call him a Fate resident.

In addition, the Military Order of the World Wars / North Texas Chapter 234 presented Mr. James with a Meritorious Service Award in recognition of his heroic actions during a high-risk lifesaving event and the Terry Fisher American Legion Post 117 presented Mr. James with a citation for Meritorious Service in recognition of his heroism.
