Flooding at local stable leaves horses standing in water, all hay and shavings gone

Stable owners, who moved onto the property just three weeks ago, request help

FORNEY, TX (Aug. 22, 2022) At Skyview Stables in Forney, 20 show and lesson horses were standing in 11″ of water this morning, and they have lost all shavings and hay due to the heavy rains and flooding.

Grooms are on site, but the trainers are away at the World’s Championship Show in Kentucky, the most prestigious American Saddlebred Show of the year where they have three horses competing.

Skyview Stables owners bought the property this summer and literally moved there three weeks ago. They are reporting that the floodwaters have moved all of their brand new arena dirt down into their pond. They have written that any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated to help them rebuild.

A GoFundMe for flood relief has been set up and they are seeking help in various areas. To learn more or donate, go here >>
