Royse City FFA student named National Holland Lop Rabbit Breeders Association’s Youth Regional Director

ROYSE CITY, TX (Aug. 29, 2022) Royse City ISD senior Shelbie Boling has been named National Holland Lop Rabbit Breeders Association’s Youth Regional Director for Zone 4, which includes Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

There are nine zones nationally that make-up the Holland Lop Association. Boling was selected by the adult board of directors and the zone directors to serve a one-year term.  Some of her duties include corresponding with youth breeders and other breed associations.  She will be responsible for writing quarterly updates to the National Breed Association’s publication, The Hollander.

Boling will also represent the Holland Lop Association at various shows, such as the State Fair of Texas, Fort Worth Livestock Show, and Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.  She will also have a display with her rabbits at the American Rabbit Breeders Associations Show and Convention in October in Reno, Nevada.

Boling is currently a member of the Royse City High School National Honor Society, and serves as the District 1 FFA Vice-President and the Royse City FFA Chapter Vice-President.
