City seeks public input in ‘ReCode Rowlett’ survey

ROWLETT, TX (Oct. 13, 2022) The City of Rowlett has launched the ReCode Rowlett public input survey. City staff are working with Clarion Associates to update the Rowlett Development Code (RDC) and Form Based Code (FBC) to respond to current needs and emerging development trends.

The project team wants to hear from residents, visitors, community organizations, and other stakeholders about their impressions of development in Rowlett. This once-in-a decade opportunity requires no professional experience to participate.

The survey is available now through Friday, November 4, 2022 at ReCodeRowlett.com, where stakeholders will also find project information and timelines, contact information, and compiled findings moving forward.

If you are familiar with the RDC and FBC as an experienced development professional, this is your opportunity to provide critical feedback on the successes and failures of the codes. If you are a resident or visitor who has thoughts on how Rowlett looks and feels, your response is also very important. The survey is anticipated to take 10 minutes to complete but may take a bit longer depending on the amount of detail in each response. If you would prefer a paper copy of the survey, please reach out to the City of Rowlett Planning and Urban Design division by calling 972-412-6138.
