ROCKWALL, TX (Nov. 15, 2022) What a treat it was to be invited to today’s Holiday Fashion Show and Luncheon presented by Bella’s House and Friends of the Rockwall County Library!
Moderated by Debbie Deitelbaum, the sold-out, seasonal showcase held in the Rockwall County Library’s Community Room featured FOL models Becky Achenbach, Nancy Barnett, Jasmine Conley, Dr. Jean Conway, Lynette Coughlin, Madelyn Hill, Joy Hosey, Barbara Jackson, Dr. Camille Malone, Carrie Pickell, Cindy Ramsey, and Dr. Joan M. Terry.
Special thanks to Bella’s House for the fashions on display; to Willis Jewelers for donating a watch for auction; and to Toyota of Rockwall, event sponsor; Kay Seamayer, music; Nancy Beaty, auctioneer; and Cindy Ramsey, decorations. Lunch was provided by Ana’s Catering. FOL president Dr. M. Joan Terry gave opening remarks; Edie Zehr recognized sponsors and special guests; and Milly Cundy introduced Sandy Johnson, owner and manager of Bella’s House. Edie and Millie co-chair the FOL fundraising committee that also includes Nancy Barnett, Judy Buffington, and Susan Laszynski.
The event began with mock mimosas, and the lunch featured Herbed Roasted Pork Loin with raspberry chipotle sauce, mixed vegetables, wild rice pilaf, rolls, strawberry field salad with balsamic vinagrette, and red velvet sheet cake for dessert.
As parting gifts, guests were given 20% certificates to Bella’s House, which is located in the Historic Downtown Rockwall Square, 206 E. Rusk Street.
FOL members serve as a voice and advocate for the library in the community. They support life-long learning and literacy for people of all ages; raise additional esources for the library; volunteer at the library and within FOL; and connect folks who love the library and reading!
