ROCKWALL, TX (Nov. 14, 2022) For the 12th consecutive year, Rockwall resident Ara Mata is hosting a toy drive benefiting Rockwall Couty foster children. This year’s event, sponsored by Military Plumbing, is gearing up to be bigger and better than ever – with a car show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium, 1215 TL Townsend Drive in Rockwall.
The car show is free to attend and open to the public. Unwrapped gifts from spectators are encouraged. For those wishing to enter a vehicle in the car show, the registration fee is $25 plus an unwrapped gift. For more info, call 469-632-6993.
“Donating a new toy(s), new clothes or gift cards directly helps these children who are placed away from their families for circumstances beyond their control. The wonderful foster parents who open their homes do this as a blessing to these children and need any help the community can give!” Mata writes on the event’s Facebook page. “Thank you for your help…one toy helps…if you can get everyone you know to donate at least one toy, these children will have a much better Christmas morning!”
