ROCKWALL, TX (Jan. 26, 2023) – Bart Miller has announced that he is a candidate for the Rockwall Independent School District Board of Trustees.
“I am excited to announce my candidacy and look forward to serving this district, which has been such a large part of my life and my family’s life, navigate the future challenges and opportunities,” he said.
Dr. Miller is a native of Rockwall and a member of the Rockwall High School graduating class of 1986. After high school, Bart attended Northwestern University, graduated from Rice University and served in the US Navy for five years as a Nuclear Propulsion/Surface Warfare Officer. After completing dental school and an orthodontic residency, he returned to Rockwall in 2001 to raise his family. Bart has three children who attended Rockwall schools, K-12, and are also proud Yellowjacket graduates of RISD.
Many in the Rockwall community are familiar with Bart and his family through his practice at Rockwall Crossing Orthodontics, a family business that has been serving the Rockwall community for over 44 years. Dr. Miller is current member and Past President of the Rockwall Rotary Club. He has served as a Past President of the YMCA Board of Directors and was a founding member of the Rockwall ISD Education Foundation.
In closing, Dr. Miller expresses a desire “to help ensure that Rockwall schools encourage and enable our students to grow and excel in all the academic and extracurricular facets of their education.”
