ROCKWALL, TX (May 17, 2023) The Rockwall County Sheriff’s Posse is proud to announce their 2023 Scholarship Recipients. These students have participated in 4-H, FFA or other agricultural-related programs and have plans to continue to support the industry in the future.
Each student chosen was awarded a $1,000 scholarship to an accredited college, technical institute, trade or vocational school.
Posse Commander Chris Knox said, “We enjoyed meeting these outstanding young ladies and gentlemen as well as their supportive families and learning about their future plans. Rockwall County has a rich agricultural history and we could not be more proud to support these students and know they will continue to give back to our community.”
The Rockwall County Sheriff’s Posse is an all-volunteer mounted patrol unit. For over 3 decades, the members of the Posse have proudly represented Rockwall County in parades, at public events and stand ready to come to the aid of law enforcement. The Posse raises scholarship funds each November at their Roundup event celebrating Western heritage on the historic downtown Rockwall Square.
