Rockwall, TX (May 3, 2023) – Meet Amaya Y. Lewis! Amaya is a three-year member and serves as the current President of the Rockwall High School Stingerettes. She is the daughter of James and Petrina Lewis.
Amaya is a member of the Hip Hop team and Kick Company and served as Junior Coordinator for the 2021-2022 year. While on the Stingerettes, Amaya has earned many awards and honors including “Stingerette of the Week” 2022, “Spirit Girl of the Week” 2021-2022, “Positive Polly” 2021, “Baby of the Week” 2020, and “Most Organized” 2020-2021. At line camp, Amaya won the title of “Miss Jump Splits” 2022-2023. Prior to being a Stingerette, Amaya was a JV Jacket Babe and was voted “Most Friendly” 2019-2020.
Amaya performed with the Stingerettes in 2022 at Walt Disney World and also danced with her team in the San Antonio Trip in 2023.
Outside of Stingerettes, Amaya is a member of the Peer Assistance and Leadership (PALs) program. She also dances competitively on the Dance FX Senior Team in Garland.
Amaya will attend the University of North Texas in the fall.
