Rockwall County 4-H Fun with Food

Rockwall, TX (June 28, 2023) – Rockwall County 4-H is hosting an afternoon of “Fun with Food” on July 14 from 1-5 PM.  Have you heard about Charcuterie Boards, Bento Boxes, Glo Germs, or Food Challenge?

Join County Agents, Dr. Aimee Sandifeer and Mr. Todd Williams who will be leading activities including fun ways to design and display food for snacks, celebrations, and meals while learning how to keep food safe with Fight BAC! (against bacteria). www.fightbac.org The Partnership for Food Safety Education develops and promotes effective education programs to reduce food poisoning risk for families.   Also, youth will participate in a mini food challenge, fun games, and a community service activity.

You do not have to be a member of 4-H to participate.  This is a great way to learn more about 4-H and the Foods & Nutrition project.

Incoming 3rd graders to 12th graders are welcome.  Cost is $5 per child and pre-registration is required.  One parent per family is required to attend at no charge.

Registration deadline is July 7 and limited to 20 youth.   Location will the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office, 915 Whitmore, Ste. B, Rockwall, TX 75087.
