Qavah the Storehouse joins with DFPS to provide clothing for children in foster care

Greenville, Texas (August 15, 2023) — Qavah the Storehouse, a community-driven organization committed to supporting families and children in need, joined forces with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to provide essential clothing items to children in foster care.

Kelly Archibald and Cheyenne Weable, the passionate minds behind Qavah the Storehouse, orchestrated 2 heartwarming events this August in Greenville, Texas. The events marked significant milestones in their ongoing mission to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families.

The first event was a celebration as Qavah the Storehouse hosted a special reunification party. The event was a celebration of a mother who, through her dedication and hard work, regained custody of her children. The second event was the collection and distribution of  much-needed clothes for children in foster care.Larry Barksdale, a Faith Based and Community Engagement Specialist for Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, attended each of the events, to celebrate the mother and to receive the donated clothing items. The collaboration between Qavah the Storehouse and DFPS underscores the importance of community involvement in addressing the needs of vulnerable children and families in the foster care system.
