Lakeside Leaders awards generous donation to Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County

ROCKWALL, TX (Sept. 15, 2023) Lakeside Leaders, formerly known as 100 Business Leaders of Rockwall, gathered for their first meeting of 2023 and were joined by eight local nonprofits at Standard Service on Thursday, September 14.

Lakeside Leader members and local nonprofit representatives met and three of the nonprofits in attendance were randomly selected to give a specific request for funding. The membership cast their votes and while ballots were being counted, the remaining nonprofits were allowed time to inform the group about the purpose of their organization.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Children’s Advocacy Center received the most votes and were presented with a check for $5,850. Anyone interested in participating in this group is invited to complete a membership form found at LakesideLeadersRW.org. Lakeside Leaders meets twice a year with the specific purpose of providing needed funds for local non-profits.
