Rockwall, TX (November 17, 2023) – Rockwall Rotary’s noon meeting was especially busy with the induction of five new members on November 16.
Christopher Lee, sponsored by Dan Bruce, is excited to become a member of “the best Rotary Club” . Christopher, who worked for the IRS, has always demonstrated “others before self” being actively involved in many Rotary activities, programs, and events without being a formal member.
Johnny Lyons, is not only active in the community but, is a performing artist with a new single released this month “That’s What I Am”! Sponsored by Mitch Ownby, Johnny is president of Lyons Air and Heat. His community service includes Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County (Blue Tie Guy), previously serving on Rockwall Planning & Zoning and Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committees.
New member, Wyatt French, sponsored by Dewayne Cain, is the son of Don French and works for Rayburn Electric Cooperative, handling right of way. He and his wife Amanda married in 2022 and live in Rockwall. Wyatt looks forward to serving along the Rotary members.
Curtis Schaibly was sponsored by Beth McCrackin, who shared a heart-warming story about his servant heart and character. Curtis has lived in Rockwall for 14 years and recently opened his family-owned business, Schaibly Brothers Foundation Repair.
Beth McCrackin also sponsored Jim Walker, a former member of the U.S. Army who pursued further education through the GI Bill. Jim has now been a CPA for 25 years and attorney for 20 years. Jim and his wife, Kelly, have lived in Rockwall for 15 years and are actively involved in the ministries of Lake Pointe Church.
