Former Rockwall resident sentenced to 25 years for aggravated sexual assault of a child

ROCKWALL, TX (Jan. 18, 2024) Last week, a Rockwall County jury returned a verdict of guilty against former Rockwall resident Sirvictor Lejean Parson, 42, for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.  The same jury assessed Parson’s punishment at twenty-five (25) years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Jurors heard testimony that Parson sexually abused his girlfriend’s minor daughter multiple times when she was thirteen and fourteen years old. The abuse came to light in March 2023 when the child finally disclosed to friends and family and an adult family member called 911. The Fate Department of Public Safety responded to the residence, and Detective Caleb Pippin led the investigation. Multiple children were forensically interviewed at the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County (CAC).

Jurors heard testimony from the child victim, now fifteen years of age.  The child told jurors of multiple acts of child molestation, which included Parson’s use of a vibrator. Parson also provided marijuana and tobacco to the child and molested her while taking car rides to the store.

Other state witnesses included law enforcement, medical personnel, and a CAC therapist and forensic interviewer.  Witnesses testified that Parson was like a “cool uncle” who provided marijuana to children when other adults were absent. One of those other children also testified that when she was fourteen, in the summer of 2022, Parson touched her sexually as well.  Parson is currently indicted for that offense.

Parson has a criminal record out of Dallas County, including convictions for Deadly Conduct, Unlawful Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Cocaine) and Burglary of a Habitation.  He was sentenced in 2005 to eight years in prison for the drug and burglary charges.

“This fifteen-year-old very bravely came to court and recounted the multiple acts of abuse she suffered at the hands of Sirvictor Parson,” said Assistant District Attorney Justin Almand.  “I am thankful the jurors diligently considered the evidence and held Parson accountable.”

“This is yet another incident of a sexual predator who groomed his young victim before secretly and repeatedly abusing her in the sanctity of her own home,” said Rockwall County District Attorney Kenda Culpepper.  “I know it’s a difficult conversation, but parents must have the courage to talk to their kids about these dangers now and also ensure that children can confide concerns to a trusted adult.”
