ROCKWALL, TX (Jan. 10, 2024) Johnny Myers is a 6th generation Rockwall County resident who has spent his life serving our community. Johnny’s Rockwall roots run deep. His father, John Dan Myers, was a Rockwall County Commissioner in the late 1970s until his passing, and his daughters have continued the tradition and are proud 7th-generation Rockwallians.
When his father passed away at age 15, Johnny was thrust into adulthood, living independently and taking over his father’s construction business while continuing his education. It was then Johnny learned the importance of personal responsibility and accountability. Johnny would eventually serve in various high-level leadership roles as a business leader and franchise owner for a Fortune 500 company. This position enhanced his natural ability for strategic planning, budgeting, product development, and creative problem-solving.
An entrepreneur, Johnny currently owns his own company – JRM Services – that fights big insurance companies on behalf of homeowners. Johnny will bring this same fight to the County Commission and hold county leaders accountable for hardworking Rockwall taxpayers.
A lifelong and multi-generational resident of Rockwall County, Johnny is running for Precinct 3 County Commissioner to preserve the Rockwall way of life. Johnny is a conservative Republican who will fight for accessibility to clean water, thoughtful and calculated growth, and funding and resources for the brave men and women of law enforcement.
Johnny met his wife, Karen, on a blind date, and together they have been married for more than 42 years. They have proudly called Rockwall home for them and their children, Chelsea and Brianna. Johnny and Karen are members of Eastridge Church of Christ in Rockwall. Johnny and Karen are active members in the community, including the Rockwall Women’s League, local Republican committees, and other charitable organizations.
Johnny is a political outsider and business leader who will bring his years of private-sector leadership experience to the Rockwall County Commission. Johnny is a conservative Republican who will hold county and state leaders accountable for how they spend your hard-earned tax dollars. Johnny is not a career politician looking for his next political step; he is a lifelong Rockwall County resident who wants to serve the place his family has called home for generations.
