ROCKWALL, TX (Feb. 23, 2024) A new comedy club is set to open in Rockwall the weekend of March 22. Tickets are on sale now for the grand opening event that is being dubbed a birthday bash in honor of the club’s namesake, the late Jacqueline “Jax” Beaubien, daughter of Revi Menasche (The Bagel Lady) and Alan Beaubien.
Jax was an inspiring comedian whose stage name was Jax Dell’Osso. She was also a professional chef and appeared on cooking shows, including the Food Network’s ‘Chopped’.
“My husband and I wanted to do something to honor her. What better way to do that then opening a comedy club that also serves some of her favorite small bites,” Revi wrote. “We are working with some comics from the DFW area to bring you some amazing shows here in Rockwall. Jax birthday is March 25, so we are planning on having an opening weekend March 22-24. We think that would be a great way to celebrate her birthday and hope she is watching and laughing in heaven.”
Located at The Bagel Lady Deli & Coffee Shop in Rockwall at 316 S. Goliad St., Suite 201, the new venue will strive to “deliver exceptional entertainment, delectable cuisine, and warm hospitality” to its guests. Their weekend lineup will feature “Friday and Saturday night performances by renowned comedians, with Sunday nights reserved for open mic sessions, offering aspiring talents a platform to shine.”
