Rockwall County Library is excited to bring unique hands-on exhibit for all dinosaur fans!

Rockwall, TX (February 28, 2024) – In partnership with The Dinosaur Company and the Dallas Paleontology Society, the Rockwall County Library will host a special event at the library on Friday, March 8.

The exhibit will offer an opportunity for children and families to engage with robotics and Paleontology. The Dinosaur Company will provide tactile pieces such as a T. Rex animatronic eye that the kids can move, and an animatronic dinosaur as well as other dinosaur objects.  Dallas Paleontology Society will have fossils on hand that kids can interact with as well as fossil copies to be handled. There will be additional robotic parts available as well.

This event will be held on Friday, March 8th at 9:00 a.m. for Dobbs Elementary School and another showing for the general public beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Rockwall County Library is located at 1215 East Yellow Jacket Lane.

The Dinosaur Company in Allen, TX is the only organization in the United States that makes animatronic dinosaurs, true to size, scope, and anatomy to the real fossil evidence, updated as needed based on Paleontological research.  They rely on and work with the Dallas Paleontological Society to make sure their work is accurate.  They even have a Brachiosaurus that is over 20 feet tall!  The Dallas Zoo and Heard Museum use their dinosaurs and they are made available to other museums, zoos, and even movie sets across the country.
