HEATH, TX (Feb. 23, 2024) Bryan Creed has joined the City of Heath as Director of Public Works, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the utilities/public works industry.
Creed comes to Heath from the Town of Sunnyvale, where he was the Director of Public works since 2016. He was also the Director of Public Utilities for the City of Commerce from 2009 to 2016, where he began in the field as a utility plant operator in 2000. Additional experience includes serving as Distribution Manager for the North Hunt Special Utility District.
Creed holds an A Water License, a B Wastewater Treatment License and is a Certified Water Professional through Texas A&M, a Certified Stormwater Inspector and a Qualified Construction Stormwater Inspector.
In addition to industry experience with growing cities, Creed understands the importance of citizen engagement and communication, having served as a Mayor and on City Council himself for seven years.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have a professional of Bryan’s caliber join our team,” said City Manager Kevin Lasher. “His expertise as a leader and hands-on work in the field are exactly what we need as we tackle critical issues involving the City’s infrastructure to ensure Heath’s future as a premier community.”
“I am excited to start a new chapter in my career and work with the team in Heath,” said Creed. “My primary focus from day one will be on needed improvements to the utility infrastructure and water capacity issues.”
Creed has been married to his wife, Debbie, for 29 years. They have three children: two sons and a daughter. He is an avid Dallas Mavericks fan and enjoys going to games when time allows.
