ROCKWALL, TX (March 10, 2024) The Rockwall County Historical Foundation recently welcomed new members to the Board of Trustees at their annual meeting.
New trustees include Sharon Tuley, Greta Miller, Sharon Henson, and Tim Carlson. Evan Tate entered his second year as Board President, with Johnny Myers as President-Elect, and Jessica Burgess as secretary and treasurer. Trustees at-large include Mitchell Brown, Linda de Bree, Patty Griffin, Mark Russo, and Dalton Tassett.
During the annual meeting, amendments to the bylaws for the Board of Trustees were passed. Evan Tate discussed the accomplishments over the past year including the renovation of the museum’s collection storage and the sesquicentennial ornament fundraiser. Over the past year the museum had visitors from 51 Texas cities, 22 states, and three countries.
The Rockwall County Historical Foundation, a private nonprofit, is not affiliated with the City or County of Rockwall. The historical houses, gazebo, tenant cabin, rock wall, outhouse, well, windmill, farming equipment, and carriage house are private property. The gazebo is available to rent all year long. When using our facilities, we ask that you treat them with respect, leave no trace, and donate to their upkeep.
