ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX (March 13, 2024) —Infiniti, Rockwall-Heath High School’s renowned select mixed a cappella ensemble, is set to make waves on the national stage once again as it secures a coveted spot in the 19th International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) Finals. Its remarkable journey to this prestigious event is a testament to its exceptional talent and dedication to the art of a cappella singing.

Under the expert guidance of their directors, Lauren Smith and Josh Coats, Infiniti has consistently demonstrated their prowess in the regional and national a cappella scene. The group has risen to prominence from humble beginnings, earning accolades and recognition for their outstanding performances.

This year’s ICHSA tournament boasts an impressive lineup of talent, with more than 3,500 performers in over 225 groups from high schools across 29 states competing. Seven regions comprise this year’s ICHSA tournament: Great Lakes, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, South, Southwest, and West.

In 2024, Infiniti clinched the First Place spot in ICHSA’s fiercely competitive Southwest Semifinals, solidifying its position as one of the top high school a cappella groups in the nation. This remarkable achievement has earned them the opportunity to represent the great state of Texas at the esteemed ICHSA Finals, which will take place at New York City’s renowned Town Hall on April 26th, 2024.

The ICHSA Finals, organized by Varsity Vocals, serve as the ultimate showcase for the art of student a cappella. The competition will feature the top nine groups from seven regions across the United States. Infiniti’s participation in this prestigious event underscores its dedication to excellence and commitment to pushing the boundaries of a cappella music.
