Rowlett, TX (March 15, 2024) – There’s a new Judge in town.Rowlett Municipal Court is a happy place to be? Indeed a statement of truth, the whole truth. After lengthy negotiations (Staff: “Can we have an office kitty?” Judge Kilgore: “Yes.”) the search was on.
Did you know theCourt staff & Judge Kilgore found what seemed to be a match – shall we say made in Heaven? Clinching the deal after viewing the kitty at Petsmart and enjoying some get to know him time; they discovered the black kitty’s name is – you guessed it – “Judge.” Beyond a reasonable doubt, adoption of this little guy by the Court was meant to be!
Following a requisite waiting period with a foster parent from Friends of Rowlett Animals, the friendly little fella made his appearance in the Court offices Thursday, much to the delight of a whole passel of new Meowmmies and The Judge. Judge moved in seamlessly. After sniffing out every inch of the offices, inspecting each new bed brought in just for him (I lost count at five), a new scratching post, discovering numerous fun cubbies and climbing spots, his food and water, tons-o-toys and litter box, he decided a fave spot to sleep is in the shred box. Judge appears to be proficient at greeting visitors at the window, filing, warming chairs, and has taken on an overall supervisory position. It is noted that Judge and The Judge have been in extended, close conference. We look forward to many, even happier hours at Rowlett Municipal Court. I suggest visiting the Court to say “meow” to Judge, rather than to pay a citation or take on other serious matters, but what do I know? (For the record – Judge will not be visiting the jail, so I’d stay clear of there if I were you.)Thank you Friends of Rowlett Animals!
