Official Texas Pie Fest returns to Tate Farms in Rockwall Saturday, April 13

Pie Vendors from all over Texas | Family & Pet Friendly | Contests | Live Entertainment

ROCKWALL, TX (April 10, 2024) Tate Farms, one of Rockwall County’s oldest working farms, presents the 6th Annual Official Texas Pie Fest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 12992 S FM 548, Rockwall, TX 75032.

Pie vendors from all over Texas will be set up selling pie slices, whole pies, pie shakes, pie pops, hand pies, savory pies and more. Vendors like Texas Pie Guy from Friendswood, Pie Crush from Dallas,  Miss Ty’s Pies from Northlake, Life of Pie from Abilene and Emporium Pies from Oak Cliff are just a few of the many Texas based pie shops that will be on hand at Tate Farms on April 13.

Pie is said to be a great equalizer, crossing boundaries and cultures, igniting conversations, and creating comfort for all. “Our goal is to bring people out to the farm, right outside of the city, and spend the day enjoying food, fellowship, and fresh air.”

New this year, the pie baking contest will include a chance for patrons to taste the pies and vote for the People’s Choice Award. We have also included LIVE performances by the Group Folklorico Dobbs, a local children’s Mexican folk dance group, and Berkner High School Ramblers, a high school western dance troop.

There will be more than just pie. Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs will be onsite with their famous corn dogs. Easy Slider will be serving up their baby burgers.

Other food vendors will have food and drinks for sale all day. There will also be a picnic area for guests to bring their own blankets and chairs for picnic-style fun.

Patrons will also have rows of shopping from over 60 vintage and handmade retail vendors. Tattoos will be given onsite from Elm Street Tattoo. Pie-themed, of course!

The day ends with a real Pie Fight, sponsored by Emporium Pies, where participants can cover up in a rain poncho provided by Tate Farms or just go all in. Hundreds of whipped cream pies are provided for festival-goers to throw at each other. The McClendon Chisolm Fire Department will be onsite to hose down all pie fighters before they head home.

Tickets to Texas Pie Fest are $10 per person, children 10 years old and under are FREE. Dogs are welcome and FREE as well. Parking is FREE. There is handicapped parking and handicapped accessible restrooms. There is also a baby-changing and nursing area.

Tickets can be purchased ahead at https://www.prekindle.com/event/38491-6th-annual-texas-pie-fest-rockwall OR at the event.
