Rockwall County Strategic Plan 2050: External Stakeholder Engagement Workshops Announced

ROCKWALL, TX (April 17, 2024) You’re invited to attend a series of Stakeholder Engagement Workshops on behalf of the Commissioners Court, Rockwall County Strategic Plan 2050, and the Community Steering Committee.  By participating in these sessions, you will be able to assess and address the future issues facing the county and other variables that will have a direct impact on us. The strategic planning process aims to set overall goals and develop a plan to achieve them. We believe that the citizens of Rockwall County are one of our greatest assets. We have a strong, collaborative community that supports regional partnerships and a shared vision for quality of life.

The public workshops will be held at the Rockwall County Courthouse at 1111 Yellowjacket Lane in Liberty Hall from 5 to 7 PM and will focus on the following topics:

ON TUESDAY, MAY 14 – ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

ON THURSDAY, MAY 23 – REGIONAL & COMMUNITY DESIGN/TRANSPORTATION & MOBILITY / HOUSING & INFRASTRUCTURE

ON TUESDAY, JUNE 4 – ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & SUSTAINABILITY / LAND USE & OPEN SPACES / HISTORICAL PRESERVATION

ON TUESDAY, JUNE 11 – EDUCATION / NON-PROFITS

ON THURSDAY, JUNE 20 – PUBLIC SAFETY & HEALTHCARE

ON THURSDAY, JUNE 27 – COMMUNITY FACILITIES & SERVICES / LEISURE & ACTIVITY

We hope you will participate in the strategic planning process to help achieve the objectives that matter to you and our community.

The goal is to present a final draft plan to the Commissioners Court by April 2025 for formal adoption.
