ROCKWALL, TX (April 25, 2024) Rockwall kicks off its summer Concerts by the Lake series next Thursday, May 2, with the Rockwall Philharmonic, who will perform a tribute to the music of Star Wars. The concert takes place between 7 and 9 p.m. at The Harbor, 2059 Summer Lee Drive. Come in costume with light sabers or come as you are to this family-friendly event.

This is just the first concert in the series, which happens Thursday nights through July. Upcoming acts include Memphis Soul (May 9), Nirvana tribute band Nevermind (May 16) and RED, a Taylor Swift tribute band (May 23).

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, picnics and beverages. Restaurants at The Harbor provide a variety of food choices. Food can be brought in or delivered. Concerts take place unless there is rain or severe weather at showtime; however, the start of a show can be delayed if it appears rain will stop soon.

One of the best things about Concerts by the Lake is that you can experience the shows from land or from water: Scores of boats will fill the Rockwall Harbor enjoying the sounds of the summer concerts.

Widely recognized as one of the greatest live music cities in Texas, Rockwall was named the “Free Live Music Capital of North Texas” by the Texas House of Representatives. Through the years, Rockwall has hosted more than 200 different bands at Concerts by the Lake.
