ROCKWALL, TX (May 22, 2024) America’s Guardians (Law Enforcement/Public Safety Motorcyle Club Texas 28A), has announced that eventhough 2023 was a banner year for their annual Bikes for Tykes event, they intend this year to be the best yet. Organizers have tweaked the route and added some beautiful, rolling back roads for the 9th Annual Teddy Bear Ride benefiting the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County. Also new this year will be outrider escorts posted every 100 riders just in case of an emergency.

This year’s ride is set for 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, starting and ending at the Rockwall County Courthouse, 1111 E. Yellowjacket. The event is open to the community, not just motorcyle riders. You can help by sponsoring the event, riding in the event, and contributing items for the silent auction after the ride. The cost to ride is $25 per bike plus a new, unwrapped soft toy.

The Grand Marshalls for this year’s event are Don and Donna Riggs, who are both very passionate and have a servant’s heart when it comes to supporting abused children of Rockwall County. Don founded Future Telecom in 1999 and leads the operations and business development activities across all Future Infrastructure companies. Don has nearly 40 years of experience in all aspects of the telecommunications and utility infrastructure installation, maintenance, and repair industry. Don is also active in AMBUCS Mesquite chapter, an organization dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities.
