ROCKWALL, TX (May 23, 2024) Nancy Jennison on Southern Cross Drive is getting her garden ready for Chandlers Landing’s 5th Annual Garden Tour on June 1st. There will be nine gardens on the tour and three “drive by” gardens. Local Rockwall gardeners are welcome to tour the gardens.
Addresses and maps of the homes will be available at the guard gate upon entry. Tell guard “Garden Tour.” Entry is at Main Gate Entrance located at 1 Commodore Plaza in Rockwall.
There is no fee for the tour, however with a donation of $5, you can receive a raffle ticket for an opportunity to win a “Garden Angel” hand-painted by local artist Betty Hoaglund. Three angels, which are weather proofed for outdoor display, will be raffled off with proceeds donated to Chandlers Landing’s 50th Anniversary Celebration in July. At the first house on the tour on Yacht Club Drive, guests can stop by, view the “Purradise Garden,” make a $5 donation (or more) and receive raffle tickets.
Other highlights of the tour:
Local plant lady Laura Tate with “Wilder – A garden Shop” will be selling plants at Nancy’s house on Southern Cross, and FREE ice plant clippings (while they last) will be given at the Hovey’s house on Clipper Court.
