National touring band, Kin Faux, to play at Southern Junction this Saturday

Kin Faux’s Quick Rise Continues to Gain Speed

ROYSE CITY, TX (May 15, 2024) – Based out of San Antonio, TX, Kin Faux is one of the fastest growing bands from the Texas/Red Dirt music scene.  Within six months of the band being formed, Kin Faux quickly started hitting stages extensively throughout the Midwest becoming a nationally touring band regarded as “the band to see” pretty much anywhere they play.  Kin Faux will be coming to Southern Junction in Royse City on Saturday, May 18th.  Get your tickets here!  www.southernjunctionlive.com

With most of the band having grown up in the shadows of the crumbling auto plants of Michigan, their music echoes the authenticity and desperation of places like Kentucky coal mines and other pockets of traditional American folklore where the livelihood of entire communities was swept out from underneath them.  This upbringing and experience brings a unique character to their brand of music that has been dubbed “Industrial Dirt” by some. The 2018 self-titled debut EP came out swinging garnering a slew of wins at Review Magazine’s Music Awards.  Their radio singles started hitting the charts immediately starting with their first Top 20 hit single on the Texas charts “Teardrops on the Rocks.” Their breakout single “Honky Tonk In Heaven” (title track of their 2021 album) scored them their first #1 hit single in Texas followed by “Wild Horses” (a duet with Terry McBride) which also hit #1.  Adding to that, their 2023 album Cheaper Than the Truth scored them two more #1 spots on the charts, and to date, Kin Faux has had four #1 hit singles and a slew of Texas Country Music Association awards including the top prize of Entertainer of the Year in 2023.

Kin Faux is on a continuous upward trajectory across the board.  With their recent and nearly sold-out headlining debut at the legendary Billy Bob’s Texas in Ft. Worth, an opening slot for Luke Bryan in Tennessee, and a music cruise with Trace Adkins in 2025, the band is seeing a level of growth that is very intriguing.  There is also talk of a European tour in the works.  In the meantime, the guys are celebrating the release of their brand new single “My Kind Of Weathered” and they are back in the studio working on new music.
