Managing Caregiver Grief During and After Caregiving, a free online event from Rockwall Meals on Wheels

Rockwall, TX (July 3, 2024) – Caregivers can experience multiple forms of grief, including slowly losing the person they are caring for, mourning immediately upon their death, and long-term grief that still periodically affects them years later. The effects can happen as the persons they care for begin to experience changes in their personality, making them unrecognizable from who they know. Grief can happen multiple times with the same person from different perspectives. Having resources and support for the caregiver and the one being cared for is essential.

Join a webinar on Tuesday, July 23rd, for a free online event for family members and professionals presented by the North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging & Texas Health and Human Services and the WellMed Charitable Foundation, Managing Caregiver Grief During and After Caregiving. In this Caregiver Teleconnection with psychologist and author Barry J. Jacobs, Psy.D., we’ll define grief and its importance in our lives and offer strategies for managing and growing through it. RSVP here: https://bit.ly/3zeyidk.
