ROCKWALL, TX (July 2, 2024) Current Rockwall Mayor Pro Tem Clarence Jorif announces he will officially run for Mayor in the upcoming Spring 2025 elections. With a distinguished career spanning military and law enforcement service, Jorif brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to conservative leadership to our Rockwall community.

I am committed to providing proven and true conservative leadership that enhances our way of life, both personally and economically. My lifelong commitment to service, from my tenure in the military, local and county law enforcement, and federal law enforcement with the U.S. Secret Service, has prepared me to lead our city with impartial decision-making and effective governance.”
Since his election to the Rockwall City Council in 2021, Jorif has been instrumental in addressing crucial issues and fostering positive change within the community. His platform for the mayoral race focuses on several key priorities, including promoting fiscal responsibility, supporting economic development, enhancing public safety, and ensuring the continuation of exceptional city services for all residents.
“As Mayor of Rockwall, I pledge to prioritize the fiscal well-being of our city, collaborate closely with our Economic Development Corporation to continue to stimulate business growth, job development, continued reduction of property taxes, and ensuring our city staff and public safety personnel are well-equipped to support and safeguard our Rockwall residents.”
Jorif’s dedication extends beyond governance; he is actively involved in various community councils, committees, and organizations demonstrating his commitment to the welfare and prosperity of our Rockwall community. His leadership roles include advising youth leadership development and supporting local veterans’ initiatives.
A decorated military veteran, Jorif began his career as a U.S. Army military police officer and rose to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3 in the U.S. Army’s Criminal Investigation Command. He retired from the U.S. Secret Service as a Senior Special Agent, and subsequently was awarded the accolade of a Congressional Patriot Award for his exemplary leadership and selfless dedication to service.
He resides in Rockwall with his wife, Lyne, and their three daughters – Maya, Sydney and Darby. He is also the President & Owner of The Compound Nevada, a shooting sports training facility in Nevada, TX, dedicated to promoting personal safety and protection ideals.
