ROCKWALL, TX (Aug. 22, 2024) In Rockwall county, there are many options for parents to enroll their children in extracurricular activities. Team sports, swim lessons, cooking classes, and more. But one program is unique in its offerings and opportunities. The Arise Acting Studio – Rockwall is reopening under new ownership as a studio teaching classes in stage and film acting, dancing, and vocal performance. The foundation of these classes is proven fundamental acting curriculum taught by professional actors, dancers, and vocalists with extensive professional experience.
In addition to year round evening classes, they offer camps, workshops, and intensives throughout the year, a homeschool class, and opportunities to participate in full scale productions with the sister Arise studios in Frisco and Grapevine, TX.
Recent productions have included Mary Poppins with professional flying effects, Matilda, Les Miserables, and Beauty and the Beast. These opportunities give students the opportunity to work on a full set with all the sound, lighting, and props that you see with professional productions. Arise Acting students gain valuable experience that transfers to school, community theater, theater as a career, and life in general.
Arise Acting Studio – Rockwall students also have the opportunity to travel with the studio! These tours include acting workshops, watching professional show, and performing in New York, London, and Disney! For passionate actors, and their families this is the perfect way to combine tourism with education.
These opportunities truly set students up for the Arise motto of “Teaching life skills through stage skills” as they mature, graduate from school, and go on to succeed in their life goals.
Classes start September 9th with ongoing enrollment throughout the year. To learn more, there will be an Open House on September 7th, 2024 from 4:00-6:00pm at 1111 Ridge Road. All attendees 18 and younger will receive a free digital headshot from Tammy Marie Photography for stopping by and everyone will have the opportunity to see inside the studio and talk with teachers and new ownership about the exciting things coming up at The Arise Acting Studio – Rockwall!
