ROCKWALL, TX (Aug. 8, 2024) Christmas is coming! What? Already?
Well, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (directed by Stacey Kluttz) is certainly coming! Rockwall Community Playhouse, your hometown theater (and a qualified 501C3), located at 609 E. Rusk St. in Rockwall will present this marvelous show from Nov. 22 through Dec. 8 (Fri & Sat. at 7:30 and Sun. at 2:00)!
Why not start celebrating now? Get in the spirit! In The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Grace Bradley inherits the job of running her church’s Christmas pageant when the woman who usually does it breaks her leg. Not only does Grace inherit this disaster, it gets worse when the six Herdman kids join. The Herdmans are notorious for abusing each other and stealing from and abusing other kids as well. They smoke, steal, lie, bully and generally create havoc in their town. Doesn’t sound much like Christmas, does it?
But this WILL be the best Christmas pageant ever as the Herdman kids learn the Christmas story and the true meaning of Christmas. It’s never too early for joy and happiness, so plan to come and see the show. Better yet, come join the fun and audition on Sat., Oct. 5 at 1 PM at the playhouse.
