Lakeside Leaders supports non-profits in Rockwall County

ROCKWALL, TX (Sept. 3, 2024) Lakeside Leaders is a grass-roots organization of local business leaders who have discovered a unique approach for helping non-profits that are based in Rockwall County.

According to Brady Hill, steering committee member, twice per year, members of Lakeside Leaders gather to present a local non-profit with a substantial financial grant. Through this process, Hill said, the group aims to support and empower organizations that are dedicated to addressing critical social issues and improving the lives of those in need in Rockwall County.

“By leveraging the expertise and resources of our members, the Lakeside Leaders organization strives to create lasting change and make a significant difference in the Rockwall community. Together, we believe in the power of collaboration and philanthropy to create a brighter future for all,” Hill said.

To accomplish this mission, the LL invites qualified, local non-profits to attend our bi-annual meetings. Three non-profits are randomly selected to present their ‘ask’. The LL membership then votes and one of the three presenters will walk away with several thousands of dollars for the specific need of their organization.

The non-profits not selected are provided opportunity to address the LL members and inform them of their organization and their unique mission to Rockwall residents.

It’s not too late to become a member of Lakeside Leaders or for a non-profit to apply. The next meeting will be Thursday, October 3^rd at 6:00 PM at Standard Service in Heath (outside deck area).

Deadline for non-profits to submit their application is September 19, 2024.
