ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX (Feb. 26, 2025) Rockwall County Democratic Chair Susie Stansel has been working tirelessly for our county and for our local democracy. On Monday she attended the Rockwall ISD board meeting, and yesterday, she was present at the Rockwall County Commissioners Court, demonstrating the dedication needed to ensure transparency and accountability in local governance.
Stansal extends an invitation to all of us, the citizens of this beautiful county, to take an active role in our democracy. Attend city council meetings, independent school district board meetings, and commissioner courts to see firsthand how decisions are made.
“Local democracy is the cornerstone of community strength,” Stansel said. “Voting in every single election is crucial, where every voice shapes the future we all share.”
We elect our leaders to serve us, but it’s our duty to show up, support their work, and make sure they know we are engaged stakeholders in our county’s future. Let’s uphold our civic duty, because democracy thrives when we all participate.
