Royse City Police Department makes arrest for Possession of Child Pornography

Royse City, TX (March 7, 2025) – On March 6, 2025, the Royse City Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Detectives, along with ICAC Detectives from the Rockwall Police Department and Dallas Police Department, executed a search warrant in the 1300 block of Black Canyon Avenue in Royse City, TX, related to a Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) investigation.

The investigation was initiated from a joint undercover operation between the Royse City Police Department and Rockwall Police Department ICAC units. As a result of the investigation, detectives seized from the residence multiple electronic devices believed to contain over 11,000 digital images of child pornography. Michael Conlon, a 44-year-old male from Royse City, TX, was arrested. Michael Conlon was transported to the Rockwall County Detention Center. Michael Conlon has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography, a First-Degree Felony and a bond of $500,000 has been set by the magistrate.
